The General Director of the National Coastline Agency, Auron Tare has declared in an interview that the government is looking for a new model for the management of Albania’s coastline. Taking in consideration the high number of tourists that are expected to visit the country during the summer season, the coastline deserves more attention by central and local authorities, according to Tare.
According to him, the new management model will provide a more efficient administration of the beaches throughout Albania, which will monitor all administration processes. The new model will monitor the purification of the territory, the control of pollution levels, the maintenance and the tax collection scheme for businesses in touristic areas.
Tare believes that the new administration scheme will prevent abusive constructors and businesses to pollute or occupy public areas in public beaches. Another important point of this model will be the efficient tax collection of businesses that operate throughout the Albanian coastline, declared Tare.
