All the airlines that operate routes to Mother Teresa International Airport should meet the claims for compensation stipulated by the European Union (EU) rules in case of canceled or heavy delayed flights. This was the latest announcement made by the Civil Aviation Authority (AAC).
βThe Civil Aviation Authority appeals to all passengers to not hesitate to file a complaint in case of canceled or delayed flights, and to submit complains to the respective companies in order to protect their rights,β AAC stated in the official announcement. Find below the complaint form.
In the meantime, the Director of Civil Aviation Ktislen Keri during a press statement from Mother Teresa airport called on all airlines to take the right measures in order to provide quality service to their customers otherwise they will face court.
Keri meet with passengers that spent about ten hours waiting after the airline canceled the flight without a previous announcement.
According to Keri, the airline must compensate its passengers based on the EU rules. If the flight is delayed for three hours, the company must provide free meals and refreshments. If the delay runs for more than three hours, passengers are entitled to cash compensation starting from Euro250 depending on the flight distance.
