China Pacific Construction Group has expressed interest in investing in Albania in the infrastructure and tourism sectors.
The president of the biggest Chinese private construction company, Yan Jiehe had a meeting with the Minister of Transports and Infrastructure, Edmond Haxhinasto, to analyze the opportunities in investing in Albania.
The official press release of the Ministry of Transports announced that Haxhinasto presented to the China Pacific Construction Group representatives the Adriatic – Ionian highway and the Eighth Corridor as priority infrastructural projects in the country.
The Albanian Ministry of Transports and Infrastructure have signed a Memorandum of Understanding with China Pacific Construction Group.
The Minister also informed the Chinese investors with the latest developments in the infrastructural sector and regarding the future plans in developing ports, road and railways system, ect.
In turn, the president of the Chinese construction company expressed interest in engaging in important infrastructural project in the country and to invest in the tourism sector. According to Yan Jiehe, Albania is situated in a very strategic location in the region, adding that the company he represents will bring to Albania a group of experts which will define the concrete cooperation projects.
