TIRANA, June 23
A Fund of Euro 28.7 million has been allocated by the Council of Europe Development Bank (CEB) on the development of Albanian Alps and Coastal Areas. It also includes the construction of Vlora ring road and the rehabilitation of Vlora waterfront promenade road, and Vlore-Kanina road. The city of Vlora, one of the most popular areas in the coast, received several investments during the recent years. Those projects aim at improving infrastructure in order to support tourism development.
The Albanian Development Fund (ADF) invites offers from eligible bidders. The project will be co-financed by the Albanian government, which will provide Euro six million.
The construction period is estimated to be six months and it consists of construction, urban regeneration and upgrading works in the city of Vlora.
“This contract is part of a larger scheme of Urban Acupuncture Regeneration Strategy within the city which aims to facilitate the traffic flow in the waterfront area through the construction of the ring road,” ADF says. Interested bidders may submit their offers until July 17.
