TIRANA, March 16
Albanian shops that sell traditional products can apply for using ‘EDUA’ brand, which is going to be the official brand of the network of traditional shops and products. EDUA name and brand was the winner of an official competition. The Agency for Regional Economic Development invites all the subjects that want to establish or adapt an existing shop to the standards of EDUA brand to apply.
The Agency informs that besides the logo, the shop must use only recyclable construction materials such as wood, rocks, iron, etc. The shop location must be in a central area of the town or village where it can be easily accessed by tourists and visitors. The shop should meet the design elements shown in the image above.
Further on, the shop must sell only products made in Albania and in the Albanian lands. At least 50 percent of the products must be part of the list of accepted goods.
All the interested subjects can also apply for grants by the national agriculture support scheme. They can receive grants up to 50 percent of the initial investment value.
The network of this shops aims at supporting farmers, artisans, and other manufacturers.
