TIRANA, October 9
The Blue Eye nature monument, Delvina area, that was temporarily closed following a rock slide incident that happened last week, will reopen for visitors on Thursday, October 10. The Regional Administration for Protected Areas in Vlora (AdZM Vlora) announced on Wednesday that the site will be accessible for visitors who must with the following safety measures.
First, the movement of visitors will be oriented by tour guides and environmental guards.
Second, it’s strictly forbidden to use the viewpoint/balcony over the spring.
Third, parking on the signed points is forbidden.
The AdZM asks for the cooperation and understanding of visitors and tour agencies to respect the safety measures while visiting the park.
The Blue Eye Spring is one of the most visited attractions in southern Albania, but the site lacked effective management. A new management strategy is expected to be implemented in 2020.
