The Albanian economy has entered in a revival period since the domestic demand has increased, declared the Bank of Albania’s Governor, Gent Sejko through a press release.
According to Sejko, the annual inflation rate is 1.9%, but country’s economy has yes unexploited capacities and regarding the expected economic growth there are positive signs since the domestic demand has increased.
As for the outstanding loans, Sejko declared that they have shown high indicators not only in Albania but in the entire region. The interest rate for the Albanian currency remains still 2%, after taking in consideration the current developments of the country’s economy.
“The expansion of the outstanding loans is low but the bank system is satisfied by this development and the addressing of outstanding loans will ease the access of banks. In the upcoming months, the financing conditions will improve and several policies will stimulate the economy. We expect a higher growth of the economy during 2015 compared to 2014. Bank of Albania predicts that the aggregate demand will increase and will have a positive impact in country’s economy,” declared Sejko.
