Lending of the economy during February of this year, measured in annual terms, has performed positively by increasing by 3%, compared to the lending level on February of the past year. Β A report by the Bank of Albania showed that the total portfolio of lending during February reached the amount of 556.7 billion ALL, less than 1 billion ALL compared to a year before.
The report published by the Bank of Albania for the lending of the economy shows that the total of the lending for individuals during February was 152.6 billion ALL, increasing by 1.2 billion ALL since January of this year.
In turn, lending for businesses has decreased according to the Bank of Albania. The most important financial institution which plays the role of the market regulatory, has vowed to continue approving easing measures regarding monetary policies. The aim is the improvement of the lending performance for individuals and businesses as well. However, lending improved significantly during the past year and experts say the country finally surpassed the European economic crisis which continued in 2008.
As for the treasury bonds, a report by the Central Bank showed that the interest rates of the 12 months maturity treasury bonds decreased in the auctions of this week, as well as 6 month maturity bonds. However, since the beginning of this year, 12 months maturity treasury bondsβ interest rates have increased by 0.3 points of percentage.
