Bank of Albania latest report on the performance of bank system during 2014 shows that second tier banks granted 214 million EUR more loans to businesses. Trade enterprises have received about 72 billion ALL loan, 34% more than the same period of 2013.
Even businesses of extractive industry increased loans amount at about 7 billion ALL whereas the processing industry businesses loan for 2014 increased by 11%, compared to 2013. The loan given to enterprises is crucial for the lending performance of the economy in particular, since it comprises 67% of the total lending amount. Bank of Albania data show positive signals regarding the economic growth in the third trimester of 2014.
During this period, the report shows also an increase of the domestic demand. The bank system, according to Bank of Albania report, is showing positive signals even in the ease of lending standards and the improvement of lending offer conditions.
