The latest data published by the Bank of Albania on their monthly newsletter show that the inflation in our country will vary from 0.9% to 3.6% during 2014. Economy experts are of the opinion that Bank of Albania will serve as a stimulator during the medium term period, considering that this institution has an operational strength of the transmission of the monetary policy and financial stability.
The performance of the inflation continues to be determined by the dynamic of food products, meanwhile other products have had less effect in the increase of the inflation rate. According to Bank of Albania, the inflation rate in the first semiannual of this year has been low and below the bank’s target.
The average inflation in the second quarter of 2014 was 1.6%, a lower percentage compared to the first quarter while the annual inflation rate was 1.5% in June. The support of Bank of Albania will affect positively in the recovery of the inflation rate near the bank’s target.
