TIRANA, December 6
In light of the earthquake of November 26th, Austria pledges Euro 600,000 to the reconstruction of damaged houses. The agreement was signed on Friday by the Austrian Development Agency (ADA) and the National Agency for Civil Protection.
“The fund aims to improve the living conditions of families affected by the earthquakes of September 21st and November 26th, through the reconstruction of damaged houses,” the Embassy of Austria to Albania informed on its official statement.
Moreover, it added that the main beneficiaries of the fund are in the municipalities of Duress and Tirana. According to the Embassy, at least 28 households will benefit the above-mentioned fund.
Besides this donation, Austria offered its support to Albania is the framework of the EU Civil Protection Mechanism with beds, blankets, generators, and hygiene items for emergency needs.
