The Assemble Speaker Ilir Meta and the Minister of Agriculture, Edmond Panariti attended the inauguration of a new agricultural investment in Fushe Kruje city. In the opening speech of the ceremony, Meta declared that public-private partnership is the only way in reaching an economic growth and increasing employment.
The new investment consists in the seeding of fruit trees saplings in about 5 hectares of soil and is another opportunity for the employment of locals.
The Assembly Speaker added that the government will increase the support and will continue promoting incentives for the enhancement of the public private partnership. “We must transform our economy in a productive economy which respects the European Union’s standards in order to guarantee qualitative ‘Made in Albania’ products,” declared Meta.
The establishment of this investment in Fushe Kruje region has initially employed 50 residents and in a short time this project will employ about 200 residents.
In turn, the Minister of Agriculture Edmond Panariti said that the upcoming season of seeding in agriculture will increase the number of new investments in this sector. Panariti was of the opinion that the results of these investments will be noticed in the increase of local production, in the increase of employment, exports and revenues.
The two high officials appealed to Albanian investors and businessmen to pay attention to the agricultural sector and thus to increase investments in the sector.
