Consumer price index in January reached the value of 118.6%, based on statistics published by Institute of Statistics, which shows that the annual change of consumer prices index is 1.3% (in 2014 the annual Consumption price index was 0.7%), while the monthly change of it is 1.4%.
The annual increase of Consumer price index came as a result of consumption increase for products as ‘food and non alcoholic beverages’, which contributed by +0.88 points of percentage while ‘tobacco and alcoholic beverages’ contributed by +0.17 points of percentage.
Prices of ‘food and non alcoholic beverages’ increased by 2.2% in 2014, as shows the report. The highest price increase was registered for vegetables (8.5%) and fruits (7%) while prices for foodstuff oils and greases decreased by 5.1%. But prices of “heath care services” decreased further by 5.2% and “transport services” as well by 3.7%. ‘Education services’ prices contributed by +0.16 points of percentage while ‘merchandise and different services’ prices contributed by +0.14 points of percentage.
In making a simple comparison of prices during this year and those in 2014, “food and non alcoholic beverages” group of goods prices had the highest increase, by 3.3%. While comparing prices of January 2014 with January 2015, the highest increase of prices noticed in “education services” group by 11%.
