Amount of goods processed at Durres Port increased

Durres Port Authority has published statistics on the activity of Durres Port during this year, figures that highlight the increased amount of goods processed in the port.

According to the official statistics, about 3 million and 325 thousand tons of goods have been processed in the Durres Port during 2015, 60.83% of which are imported goods and 39.17% are exported goods. Most of the imported goods include coal coke, flat, chemical fertilizers for the agriculture, iron, melamine, ect.

In terms of transport, about 2,471,000 tons of goods have been transported towards and from the Durres Port via merchant vessels while 682,606 tons of goods have been transported via ferries.

In terms of travelers, statistics show that since January 1^st of 2015 Durres Port has been used for travel purposes by 706.893 people, almost equal to the number of travelers during 2014.
