Tourists from all over the world are visiting Albania, but the official data from the Institute of Statistics (INSTAT) for January – April 2018 confirm a higher number of visitor from Poland compared to other countries.
“Poland ranked first among the countries with the highest number of citizens traveling to Albania in April 2018. The number of Polish tourists increased by 41.9 percent, while the number of visitors from Switzerland declined by 25.2 percent. In the meantime, Poland ranks first among the countries with the highest number of visitors to Albania during the first four months of the year,” INSTAT report says.
Moreover, the report confirms a drop in the number of tourist arrivals from Kosovo. Some 121,000 Kosovan citizens traveled to Albania during April 2018, or 3.8 percent less than in April 2017. However, the total number of Kosovan visitors during January-April 2018 increased by 5.9 percent compared to the same period of the previous year.
In the meantime, a slight increase was marked in the arrivals of citizens from Greece and Italy.
Official data confirm that the number of international citizen arrivals to the country during January – April 2018 is over one million, or seven percent more compared to January-April 2017.
The report confirms that more Albanians are traveling abroad. Over 1.5 million Albanians traveled abroad during the first four months of 2018.
