UBIFRANCE (The French Trade Commission) held the “Day of Albania” conference, aimed at promoting Albania as a country that offers many opportunities to foreign investors. The conference was attended by Albanian Minister of Energy and Industry, Minister of Transport and Infrastructure and the Minister of Innovation, which discussed on various topics with French businessmen.
The Albanian Minister of Transports and Infrastructure, Edmond Haxhinasto invited French investors and businessmen to invest in Albania and said the Albania-France trade exchanges must intensify further.
Talking about the infrastructure and transport in country, Haxhinasto said there have been big improvements and Albania is heading towards the unification of standards and quality in its entire infrastructural works. At the conference, the Minister presented the current infrastructural projects to French investors who attended and invited them to become part of these important projects, not only in the construction of roads but also in road security services, road maintenance, ect.
As for the railway system, the Minister hailed the construction of Tirane-Paris railway as an excellent opportunity for French investors to be more present in Albania. He also presented an open invitation to businesses for the construction of Tirane-Rinas-Durres railway line and the reconstruction of international railway lines of Durres-Macedonia and Durres-Montenegro. “Albania has a lot of development potentials even in the maritime sector,” stated Haxhinasto.
