INSTAT statistics show that during the first three months of this year trade exchanges between Albania and Serbia reached EUR 4.7 million, still maintaining at lower levels in report to the imports. The most exported group of merchandises are “minerals, fuels and energy” by 76% of the total where the most exported where the energy and minerals. In past years, it has been noticed a tendency to export shoes and food to Serbia, even though in low volumes.
The official statistics show that in 2014 the exports of Albania with CEFTA member countries (Macedonia, Kosovo, Montenegro, Moldavia, Bosnia Herzegovina and Serbia) comprised 11.6% of the total amount of exports, increasing by 12.3% compared to 2013.
The amount of export of Albanian products towards Serbia has changed within years. In 2014, exports to Serbia comprised only 0.6% of the total amount of exports while in 2010 exports of Albanian products to Serbia reached the value of more than EUR 1.2 million.
