Trade exchange with Kosovo has improved, according to the latest report published by the Institute of Statistics. In the first trimester of this year, Albanian products increased by 53% more than in the same period in 2014, by reaching the value of ALL 4.8 billion.
The most exported products from Albania were mineral, fuels and electric energy, which contributed with 59% of the total amount of products exported.
Despite the increase of Custom tariffs by the Kosovo government for construction products such as concrete, bricks and iron, the amount of exports has increased. On the contrary, the export of shoes and leather products has decreased significantly during the January – March period of this year.
Exports of Albanian products to Kosovo hit on 2012 and registered a lower performance in 2013. But, during the last year, exports with Kosovo increased to 7.3%, from 6.2% that were in 2010.
