The touristic summer season has strengthened the position of the Albanian currency in the foreign exchange market, in comparison to the USA dollar and the European currency, EURO.
Based on the data of the official Bank of Albaniaβs exchange market, On July 27th 1 EURO was exchanged with ALL 139.48, or ALL 0.14 less than on July 26th. This level, according to Bankβs figures, is the lowest reached during this year.
The USA Dollar decreased heavily, since $1 was exchanged with ALL 126.01, or ALL 1.56 less than on July 25-26th. During the summer season, the Albanian currency performs positively due to the increase of remittances from emigrants and the incomes from foreign tourists.
In general terms, the Albanian currency remains stable and records slight fluctuations during the year, due to the preliminary measures that Bank of Albania undertakes to keep the currency unaffected by the internal or external economic developments.
