The Albanian Association of Banks published on Friday a report on the loan amount that second tier banks have given to businesses for investments purposes. Lending for investment purposes has increased by 1.3%, on January of this year, analyzed in annual terms.
Lending for investment purposes reached the value of 201 billion ALL on January of this year, the report shows. Businesses have taken loans to invest in buying machinery and equipments, also for buying real estate buildings.
This positive trend of the increase of lending is considered by economy experts as an important factor which directly reflects the performance of private investments in the Albanian economy. The two most influential factors in this development have been the improvement of the business climate in the country and the return of loans in positive values, experts say.
Even the readiness of the Bank of Albania shown in the last months in their monetary policies and in the liberal policies for lending have affected in the increase of investments by private businesses, a very positive development for the countryโs economy.
