Chinese and Albanian businessmen in the agro-industry sector will conduct b2b meetings in Tirana on May 12nd in order to identify the potential for investments and collaboration between the two countries. This was announced by the Albanian Council of Agro Business sector, according to which these b2b will be organized with the aim to strengthen the economic collaboration with China and to attract Chinese investors in Albania.
The b2b meetings will be supported by the Albanian Investment and Development Agency and by the Agriculture Department of Hebei Chinese province.
In October 2014, the Albanian Ministry of Agriculture and the Chinese government signed a cooperation memorandum with the aim to intensify trade between the two countries in the agriculture sector. The memorandum was signed by the Albanian Minister of Agriculture, Edmond Panariti and the Chinese Vice Minister of Agriculture, Niu Dun, in Tirana. Albania and China aim to intensify the economic cooperation in the agriculture sector, fishing and food sectors.
