TIRANA, June 12
The Albania national football team directed by the head coach Edoardo Reja, has beaten Moldova yesterday with the result 2-0 in the stadium ‘Elbasan Arena’, in Albania. The red-and-black team were made to wait but eventually scored two goals thanks to Çikalleshi and Ramadani.
Odise Roshi powered in behind the Moldovan defense to tee up fellow substitute Sokol Çikalleshi midway through the second half, and the hosts sealed the first victory, in the minute 66 of the match through Ylber Ramadani and then with Sokol Cikalleshi who scored the second goal for Albania in the minute 92 of the match.
The victory of Albania is one step forward towards the qualifiers for the tournament UEFA Euro 2020. The Albanian team is now positioned in the fourth place with 6 points, whereas in the top three places of the group H are: France, Turkey, and Iceland with 9 points respectively.
The next matches of the group for Albania will be on September 7 against France and on September 10 against Iceland.
