Albania and Turkey have increased trade exchanges during January of this year, according to official figures published by the Institute of Statistics.
The trade volume between the two countries comprises the 7.9% of the total foreign trade of Albania, say figures. In monetary terms, trade exchanges are estimated to be about 4.1 million ALL during this period of time, while compared to the same period of a year before, they increased by 1.5 million ALL.
Official statistics show that exports towards Turkey increased by 1.1 million ALL during January of this year, while in the same period of the year we left, exports were estimated to be only 153 million ALL.Β The products Albania has exported to Turkey are mostly construction materials and metals, minerals and hydrocarbons.
Official figures also show that Turkey has exported to Albania mainly textiles and shoes, as well as chemical and plastic products. During January of this year, Turkey exported about 2.8 million ALL merchandise, increasing slightly compared to the same period of the previous year, since the amount of money of products Albania imported from Turkey was 2.4 million ALL.
