Albania is making efforts in taking loans in the international market through emitting bonds at a value of EUR 300 ml with an interest of 7.5%. High ranked officials of the Ministry of Finances are holding meetings with European foreign investors in several European countries. The Albanian delegation is headed by the Minister of Finances Shkelqim Cani and has as a contractor Deutsche Bank and JP Morgan companies.
According to Scan TV, Ministry of Finances’ experts are following the current developments of the international market and the Albanian delegation will present such request for loan in Vienna and Frankfurt. The Minister of Finances declared earlier that the government is expected to reemit the EUR 30 ml bond within October of this year.
Albania emitted a EUR 300 ml bond for the first time on November 2010 and now the government is seeking to reemit the bonds in the international market. Albania’s economy has been ranked as a B1 level economy by Moody’s and B by Standard & Poor’s.
