The head of the Albanian Information Technology Association Dritan Mezini has declared in a press interview that Albania should focus on the outsourcing of Information technology services. According to Mezini, this is a potential source for Albania’s economy and in order to benefit the most of it, the country need to develop professionally its workforce.
Given that professions in the IT field and digital world – related professions are highly required by the market nowadays, the employment opportunities have no physical borders since this is a global market, according to Mezini.
Albania should focus more in developing its workforce since only this way it can compete to other regional countries. Studies have shown that in the country currently operate at least 15 IT companies which outsource their services and products and the annual incomes from these companies are estimated at a value of EUR 5 million.
