The Albanian Authority of Competition and Austrian Federal Authority of Competition signed a joint memorandum to enhance collaboration between the two institutions. The settlement predicts a further cooperation in the compilation of competition policies and in the implementation of the competition laws.
This memorandum aims to create the favorable conditions to take into another level the bilateral relations, based on mutual benefit and equality principles. The important role of competition in the efficient development of a country’s economy was one of the discussion points highlighted at the meeting. The two institutions have agreed upon the signed memorandum, to boost and encourage the collaboration based in the implementation of competition policies and laws, in accordance to the respective countries’ legislations.
The General Director of Austrian Federal Authority of Competition and the head of Albanian Authority of Competition Lindita Milo, signed the agreement in the presence of the Albanian ambassador to Austria, Roland Bino and the General Director for Competition at the European Commission, Alexander Italianer.
The Albanian delegation of the Authority of Competition also attended the two day conference “The independence and the structures of the competition national authorities in the European context”, in Vienna, Austria.
