TIRANA, November 8
The Albanian tourist offer is being showcased at London’s World Travel Market one of the biggest business to business exhibitions for the travel industry professionals. Several tour operators from Albania are attending the event and holding meetings with British and international representatives from the travel industry. There are more than 5,000 exhibiting destinations at this edition of WTM. Their goal is to bring more visitors to Albania and also to present the new fiscal package, which includes various facilities for strategic investments in the tourism sector.
Minister of Tourism and Environment Blendi Klosi said the promotion of the fiscal package and also the promotion of sustainable and alternative tourism are main goals of the Albanian stand.
Klosi shared more details in interviews with BBC, National Geographic, Travel Channel, and Euro News.
“One among our important goals is providing all the possible strategic investors with the new fiscal package, which helps and supports investments in luxury tourism,” Klosi said.
Further on, he highlighted that four and five-star hotels will benefit the best fiscal stimulus for the region and this package is offered to all the interested operators during the World Travel Market days.
In the meantime, the minister added that the event will also serve for discussing the major issues facing the travel and tourism industry in Albania with domestic tour operators. The fair opened its doors on November 6 and will close on November 8th. Albania is represented by the National Tourism Agency and tour operators and its offer is focused on cultural, historic, archeological, and adventure travel.
