Albania and Pakistan have agreed to enhance bilateral cooperation in economic, trade and cultural fields. The understanding came at a meeting held on Thursday between the President Bujar Nishani with his Pakistani counterpart Mamnoon on the sidelines of centenary celebrations of Canakkale battles at Istanbul in Turkey.President
President Nishani said that Pakistan could take advantage form Albania’s expertise in textile, tourism, mining, energy and agriculture sectors.On his part, Pakistani President Hussain stated that the volume of bilateral trade between the two countries is below potential and called for exploring ways and means to further expand it. He underscored that bilateral trade can be enhanced further with greater interaction between the Chamber of Commerce of the two countries.

Further on, he emphasized that both countries need to work on establishing institutional framework and linkages to further the bilateral cooperation. He underlined the need to work toward increasing bilateral collaboration through cultural and people to people contacts.President Mamnoon Hussain also offered to provide higher education and training facilities to Albania.
