Albania-made beer exports increased in 2016

Albania-made beer reached more costumers in the international market in the first quarter of 2016, says the Ministry of Agriculture. As a beer brewing country, Albania exported to the international markets an amount of 231.8 tons of beer during this period.

Compared to the January-March 2015, the exported amount of beer increased 4.5 times – equal to ALL 240 million, says the Ministry. In January-March 2015, Albanian beer producers exported 51.4 tons of beer to the international markets, equal to ALL 30.1 million.

Albanian beer producers exported their products mainly in the regional markets, given that competing with known beer brands in the international market is very difficult. This is one of the most concerning problems that Albanian producing companies have faced in years.
