The Albanian Minister of Energy and Industry held an official visit to Macedonia and was received by the Macedonian Minister of Economy Bekim Neziri in a meeting. The two Ministers discussed about the favorable conditions the two countries have to enhance the cooperation in the energy field and to advance the bilateral dialogue in all the levels. The two high ranked officials also discussed about the Elbasan – Manastir Interconnection Line of 400 KV project which will start to construct on 2017.
According to the Minister Gjiknuri, “the two pairs are working on the project which is predicted to function within 2018. The project will be co-financed by Albania and Macedonia. Such project is a gateway for future cooperation with countries such as Bulgaria and Serbia.”
In turn, the Macedonian Minister Bekim Neziri said the implementation of the Elbasan – Manastir Interconnection Line is very important since it will affect in the improvement of the energy supply and offers more safety in this regard.
