The signing of the Stabilization and Association Agreement (SAA) between the European Union and Kosovo on October 27th last year has increased Kosovo’s possibilities to enhance the trade with other countries. On this behalf, on Saturday, the Albanian Minister of Agriculture, Edmond Panariti is expected to visit the city of Peja in Kosovo and meet with his Kosovar counterpart, Memli Krasniqi to discuss the intensification of trade between the two countries.
In his visit, Panariti will be accompanied by a group of Albanian businessmen from the agro-processing sector headed by the General Director of the Tirana Chamber of Commerce, Nikolin Jakaj. The businessmen will discuss and propose cooperation opportunities with Kosovar businesses.
The increase of trade with Kosovo is a priority for the Ministry, say official sources from the Ministry of Agriculture. Both countries are continuously enhancing the economic cooperation by reducing procedures and bureaucracies in joint Custom points.
