Albania and Kosovo are intensifying their economic relations and the collaboration in many fields. One of the most important projects for the two countries is the Interconnection Energy Line, a project that is expected to improve the energy supply for both countries and also reduce the energy price by 15%.
This was declared by the Albanian Ambassador in Kosovo, Qemal Minxhozi, in a press interview. According to the ambassador, Albania and Kosovo are currently discussing an agreement for the establishment of a custom office by the Kosovo government at Port of Durres. The ambassador Minxhozi said this agreement and other issues will be discussed at the upcoming joint annual meeting between the two governments, on June 3rd, in Prishtina.
Regarding the joint Interconnection Energy Line, Minxhozi said Kosovo has just finalized the construction of a section of the Interconnection Line in Vermice village, while Albania will soon finish the construction of another section in Morina border crossing.
On June 3rd, Albania’s and Kosovo’s government officials will meet in Prishtina city and discuss the politic, economic and social relations between the countries, the ways to enhance these relations and to identify the joint objectives for the future.
