The Albanian Embassy in Rome, Italia held the first meeting of Albania-Italy Parliamantary Group of Friendship.The meeting was attended by known Italian politicians, Albanian intellectuals who live in Italy, Italian friends of Albania.
The Albanian Parliamentary Group of Friendship was represented by Artan Gaci and Bujar Derveni deputies. The deputy head of this group Artan Gaci said that the intensification of bilateral reports between the two countries gets promped even by economic and cultural exchanges. In Albania live more than 19.000 Italians, 350 of them are students and these numbers show the advanced stage of Albania –Italy relations.
While the Head of Italian Parliamentary Group of Friendship Senator Salvatore Margiotta emphasized the support and help that Italy has always shown for Albania, taking in consideration that the two neighbouring countries have joint interests in many fields. He further added that the main objectives of this friendship are the increase of Italian investments in Albania, mainly in infrastructure, the continuity of collaboration regarding TAP project, cooperation in joint interest fields, educational cooperation and joint projects in the medicine field.
