“Paying Taxes 2015” report has ranked Albania the 172th among 189 nations, by improving its ranking with 15 places compared to “Paying Taxes 2014” report. The report issued jointly by the World Bank, PwC and IFC analyses the ease of paying taxes that 189 countries around the world offer to the tax payers.
The report analyses the performance of paying taxes, facilities of this process and the ease of taxes by the respective governments during the entire year. The percentage of paying taxes in Albania is 30.7%, according to “Paying Taxes 2015”. Recently, the Albanian government has undertaken a lot of measures in easing tax payment system and the reduction of taxes for several sectors.
Paying taxes 2015 report analysis is based in the payment percentage of income and payroll taxes, and several domestic taxes and also is focused in three indicators: the time needed to pay taxes, the number of tax payments in annual terms and the actual taxes paid by a firm.
As for the region, Kosovo has a percentage of paying taxes at 63%, Montenegro 22.3%, while Serbia 38.6%.
