Albania and Greece will enhance their cooperation in the tourism field, since this is a strategic sector of both countries’ economies. The Albanian Minister of Tourism and Urban Development, Eglantina Gjermeni, held a meeting with her Greek counterpart, Olga Kefalojanis, aiming to increase collaboration between their respective countries.
The Albanian Minister of Tourism invited Greek investors to be more present in Albania, by highlighting the fact that there are many fields of common interest that create cooperation opportunities, not only the tourism sector.
Gjermeni gave an interview for the Greek news agency ANA that in no time Albania and Greece will sign a cooperation agreement in the tourism sector. “There are several of technical issues not concluded yet, but we will soon sign an agreement which consists of offering knowledge and experience to Albania by touristic Greek companies. The success Greece has achieved in the tourism field relates to a long tradition of developing tourism and this experience will be very helpful to Albania,” stated Gjermeni.
