Albania Attends for first Time a Global Seafood Fair

TIRANA, April 27

For the first time, the sector of Albanian fisheries and aquaculture has been represented at an international fair. A pavilion was open at the Global Seafood Exposition that is taking place in Brussels. This event showcases various products such as software, computers, information systems, technologies, live tanks, etc. Albania was represented by two companies, Almarin and Koral. The former is the main Albanian-Italian investment in aquaculture while the second is an Albanian seafood production company. The pavilion was visited by Minister of Agriculture Edmond Panariti and the Italian deputy Minister of Agriculture and Food Giuseppe Castiglione. He congratulated the Albanian representatives for the progress made in the fisheries and aquaculture industry and also guaranteed the Italian support for this sector.
On his part, Panariti said that production and exports expanded by 50 percent compared to the previous year. This is the reason why Albania managed to have its own pavilion in this international fair.
