The Albanian Minister of Agriculture Edmond Panariti attended an international forum on the innovative incentives in the agriculture sector in Kharkiv region in Ukraine as a speaker of the panel. The Minister also attended a meeting with Kharkiv’s Governor Igor Rainin and governmental high ranked officials.
Speaking at the forum, the Minister of Agriculture praised the engagement of Ukraine’s authorities and Governor Rainin in maintaining peace and stability in the region and expressed interest in enhancing the collaboration between the two countries. “Albanian producers of fruits and vegetables will be interested to export their products in Ukraine’s markets and my presence here means that we want to accelerate this process,” declared Minister Panariti.
The Minister added that Albanian and Ukrainian authorities will sign agreements to enhance the trade exchange of the two countries in terms of exports and imports in the agriculture field. “In order to strengthen our cooperation, we will sign agreements which aim to simplify trade and phytosanitary procedures,” according to Panariti.
In turn, Ukrainian high ranked officials agreed on this proposal and vowed to hold a visit in Albania in the upcoming weeks.
