Albania and Kosovo will enhance their cooperation by creating and implementing joint projects with the aim to develop cross border areas in areas of Tropoja, Has, Gjakovo, Kukes and Prizren cities. On this behalf, the Albanian Minister of Urban Development Eglantina Gjermeni, held a meeting with the Kosovo’s Minister of Environment and Spatial Planning, Ferid Agani.
The pairs held discussions regarding the concrete projects between Albania and Kosovo and projects related to the spatial planning and urbanization. In this framework, the two Ministers decided to launch a joint competition for concrete projects in architectural and urban planning for the development of cross border areas between the two countries.
According to them, the competition will encourage new experts in the architecture and urban planning field to display draft projects that aim the integrated development in these areas. This competition will be followed by other joint activities, according to the Ministers, which will be focused in the field of property legalizations and the integration of informal areas.
