On June 27th, the Albanian and the Czech Republic delegations signed the Protocol of the Fourth Session of the Joint Working Group for “Economic Cooperation between Albania and Czech Republic”.The protocol was signed by the Albanian vise Minister of Economic Development Brunilda Paskali and by the Czech vise Minister of Industry and Trade, Vladimir Bartl.
The ceremony was held in Prague capital after two days of intensive discussions and analysis between the Albania and Czech delegations where experts held discussions on the possible ways to extent the economic cooperation between Albania and Czech Republic.
According to the official statement from the Albanian Ministry of Economic Development, the pairs shared their alternatives in possible cooperation in sectors of trade, investments and tourism, transport, infrastructure, agriculture and urban development. The delegations also organized a round table where business representatives of Czech companies and Czech investors expressed their interest in investing and cooperating with Albanian businesses.
The signed protocol underlines the importance and the mission of the joint working groups of Albania and Czech in the increase of trade exchanges between the two countries, since the participants stressed that trade exchanges still remain at low levels, below their potential. The Czech delegation also expressed their interest in helping Albania in the gasification process, on behalf of the TAP project which is due to be implemented in the country within 2020.
