TIRANA, June 25
The French weekly newspaper Journal de Dimanche ranks Albania among the top ten tourist destinations for 2018. Albania is considered as the most secret destination in the newspaper’s list.
“Albania, along with Columbia and Haiti, is one of the most attracting destinations,” Chairman of Voyageurs du Monde agency Jean-Francois Rial says.
“Located between Greece and Montenegro, this Balkan’s country is waking from the long sleep of isolation. It is slowly opening by following a strategy of tours to mountain peaks, green valleys, and a long coastline in the Ionian and Adriatic seas,” The article says.
Moreover, it highlights that tourists can find in Albania cities like Berati, Gjirokastra, and Butrinti that are listed as UNESCO World heritage sites.
French agency ‘Terres d’aventures’ included Albanian in its catalogs and offers an eight-day tour to Albania starting at €1,150.
“The new rival of Croatia, the land of Eagles, is one of the last unknown destinations in the Mediterranean,” the French newspapers concludes.
