With the aim to attract more tourists in Albania this summer season, the Albanian government will provide visa-free entrance in the territory of Albania for citizens from 6 countries. Visas will not be required for citizens from the Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Oman, Russia, Georgia and Belarus during the period of May 15th – November 1st 2016.
The head of the National Tourism Agency, Ardit Collaku, said this decision aims to bring more foreign tourists in Albania and to extend the time tourists will be able to visit Albania without visas. The government is aiming to develop a sustainable tourism industry in order to increase the contribution this sector gives in country’s economy.
Citizens from the Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Oman, Russia, Georgia and Belarus can enter the territory of Albania only by obtaining their passports.
