The Albanian government has signed a collaboration agreement with the Serbian government for the tourism sector which was approved by the Council of Ministers in their last meeting. Albania and Serbia have enhanced collaboration in the framework of the Berlin Process which aims to bring closer Balkan countries by implementing joint regional projects in the infrastructure field and several sectors.
The agreement was also mentioned by the two Prime Ministers of Albania and Serbia in a TV debate they attended by the end of August. A part of this agreement is a possible Serbian investment in building hotels along Durres coastline.
Durres coastal city is one of the biggest and most important tourism cities in Albania with a large number of tourists and businesses. Port of Durres is the most important and largest port in Albania in terms of economic exchanges and serves as the nearest border crossing point with the Western Europe.
