After the finalization of the two day Western Balkan Countries Summit in Vienna, Austria, the Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama has published an official statement in his personal Facebook page where he makes a balance of the developments and conclusions of this summit.
“The construction of Blue Corridor (Adriatic-Ionian Highway) and Nish-Pristina-Durres highways will be supported by the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, a good achievement of our efforts that Albania and the Albanians start receiving the deserved outcome from this process,” states Primer Rama in his declaration.
Rama also announces that the Albanian government was ensured for the financing of Albania-Macedonia interconnection line which, according to him, jointly with the Albania-Kosovo interconnection line will develop our electro-energetic system in the proper manner.
The declaration also states that two proposals made by the Minister of Economy Arben Ahmetaj during the round table of Western Balkan Ministers of Economy were fully supported. The Minister of Economy made four proposals related to the establishment of an Economic Union and Regional Bank, as well as the implementation of German and Austrian vocational training models from Western Balkan countries, which will have a regional approach.
The Prime Minister announced that Albania opened an important dialogue with the German government for ensuring support in the expansion and strengthening of vocational training schools in Albania and the employment of Albanian young adults in Germany. “These should serve us as encouraging results for our project in reviving the Albanian economy and increasing the welfare of our citizens,” ends the declaration of Prime Minister Edi Rama.
