During January – June 2015 period, life insurance contracts increased by 10.97% compared to the same period of 2014, says a report released by the Financial Supervisory Authority. Premiums of voluntary insurance and non-life voluntary insurance contracts also increased, according to the report.
Premiums of voluntary insurance reached the amount of ALL 2,769 million during January-June 2015 period, equivalent to 14.34% more than during the period of January-June 2013. While, non-life insurance contracts increased by 21.88% in annual terms, says the report.
Incomes from accidents and health insurances reached the amount of ALL 622 million during January-June 2015, increasing by 59.74% compared to the same period of the previous year. Life insurance premiums reached the amount of ALL 477 million during this period. Incomes from “fire and other property damages” insurance contracts increased by 72.90% while general civil responsibility insurance contracts increased by 18.57% during January-June 2015.
