Protik Innovation Center held the International Space Apps Challenge competition, a technological marathon initiated by NASA which was implemented worldwide on April 10th of this year. The participants of the competition were 45 students from the public universities in the country which organized in teams and each one worked for a certain project.
The participating teams were:
Mubu team – Outer Space/ Transient Watch – Daily news on active neutron stars and black holes on your mobile phone.
ProSense team – Robotics/ Sensor yourself
Happy People – Outer Space/ Happy moments from space
Caeulus team – Humans/Space Wearable: Designing for today’s launch & research stars
BioTech team – Earth/ Forest Monitor Mapping
Thesaurum Venari – Humans/ Data Treasure
Big Bang team – Outer Space/ 3-2-1 Liftoff: Launch that rocket
Tech Crew – Outer Space/ Happy moments from space
The winner of the competition was ProSense team with “Robotics/ Sensor yourself” project, which won a prize of $300 and a training voucher at Protik Innovation Center.
The activity was supported by Vodafone Albania and the UNDP programme in Albania.
