The Ministry of Agriculture and the Agricultural University of Tirana have reached a cooperation agreement, aiming to protect the plants from destruction. This agreement consists in strengthening the cooperation between the two institutions in an effort to use more efficiently the assets and human resources in protecting plants in Albania. The Agricultural University of Tirana will put in disposal its laboratory capacities in conducting analyses and the staff in compiling strategies.
The staff of the university will be trained and will cooperate with the specialized center of the Ministry of Agriculture, the Centers of the Technological Transferring and the advisory service for the training of farmers, specialists, producers of seeds and sapling and the traders of plants.
The agreement was signed between the Minister of Agriculture Edmond Panariti and the Rector of the university Fatos Harizaj. The Minister of Agriculture declared that the signing of this agreement will make possible a closer cooperation between these two institutions, adding that the institution he is in charge of will transfer other responsibilities to the university. “We believe that the long experience and the capacities this university has will accomplish the obligation we have towards farmers in Albania,” stated Panariti.
