Albanian Minister of Economic Development, Trade and Entrepreneurship attended in a meeting British former Prime Minister, Tony Blair.

Tony Blair was hired by the Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama as a private councellor after coming to power after SP party won the elections in June 23rd, 2013.
In the last parliamentary session, Ahmetaj spoke about several reforms that according to him will improve the business climate, one of which is the merge of National Registration Center with National Legislation Center, in order to reduce bureaucracies.
“The government has undertaken important reforms in tax system, macroeconomic aspect, in pensions and the territorial reforms, which have affected in the index of reliability of businesses. Foreign investments reached $1 billion during 2014 and for the first time in country have been imported circa $1.1 billion equipments and machinery by businesses,” declared Ahmetaj.
He added that changes in the law on “For National Registration Center” will ease businesses’ procedures since the aim of the changes is to provide a clear and updated coherent law, which meets the European Union directives for commercial entities.
