All interested farmers in benefiting from governmental subventions scheme will start applying starting from March 1st. The news announced by General Director of Agency for Rural and Agricultural Development, Suela Popa, which underlined government’s engagement in supporting farmers to increase domestic production.
This year’s applications will be selected automatically by a new program which will evaluate applications based on the fulfillment of requirements. Popa also declared that ARAD has requested for several times the increase of fund’s amount based on the increase of farmers’ request for subventions and the increase of new farmers’ number.
The increase of investments in fishing, agribusiness, livestock and agriculture are the priority of subventions scheme which will benefit from subventions, aiming to enhance competition and production standards. For 2015, the Ministry of Agriculture will provide simplified application forms and procedures for farmers, by reducing procedures and avoiding unnecessary bureaucracies.
The new computerized selection system is a new measure taken by the agency in meeting transparency and equality in distributing subventions for farmers, as appealed in many cases by the Minister of Agriculture.
