The attraction of foreign investments in Albania by easing policies was the main point of Minister of Economic Development statement at a joint conference of regional countries Ministers of Economy, held in Tirana on February 9th.
The Minister mentioned the reforms undertaken by the government in the past year, underlining the reform in energy, pension’s scheme and the application of many easing packages for several economy sectors, aiming to boost production in country. According to the Minister, the implemented laws have continued to show their results in creating a favorable business climate. In this behalf, declared Ahmetaj, the submission of Reforms’ National Plan to the European Commission, which aims the harmonization of reforms in improving the business climate, is a big step towards a rapid increase of foreign investments in country.
One Stop Shop is a new draft law presented at the Assembly, which aims to support foreign investors. “The transformation of contracts with foreign investors into laws is another governmental initiative which guarantees the observance of contracts,” said Minister of Economy.
“The ease of bureaucratic procedures will have its impact in the reduce of transactions for businesses and that’s why Albania and Kosovo will soon eliminate all non tariff barriers by respecting the rules, in order to have a more open market for Albanian and Kosovar businessmen. Our priority will be transparency and I must underline that this is an important event even for regional countries,” ended his word Ahmetaj
