The identification of priority touristic areas is a project which started as a draft in 1993 and until now it has not been carried through to the end, but the implementation of a new law is expected to chance the situation. Representatives of the Ministry of Tourism held a hearing session at the Commission for Production Activities on Wednesday, where they presented the so far performance of the process which is defining the priority touristic areas.
The deputy Minister of Tourism Alfred Dalipi and other officials of the Ministry presented a report on this process based on the new law on priority touristic areas which is being compiled. The new law is a legal obligation that identifies the most important touristic areas in the Albanian territory.
Deputy Minister Dalipi declared at the Commission: “This is not a novelty but the planning of territory has been launched since 1993. Now we are trying to finish this project by compiling a new law which will execute this project.”
The identification of priority touristic areas law is a normative act which will interfere in the law on the territory planning and the law on tourism. After the presentation of the draft project, the members of the Commission and representatives of the Ministry, discussed on several aspects of the new law.
